Parisian FOTD with Stila!

17:05:00

I'm back with a Parisian themed post again today. I had a telephone interview this morning and it went well, fingers crossed next time I hear back I'm chosen!

Stila has sent me a few goodies a little while ago and watching them together I thought they had a Parisian vibe to them.

Parisian girls usually don't pile on makeup, which is quite ironic as they have all these iconic brands such as Dior, Chanel, etc. When I think of a Parisian, I think of my friend Nissa, and this is someting she would wear: minimal or no foundation, liner and red pout!

First, start with a fresh base. Parisian girls don't cake their makeup. I think it's because they invest in good skincare and let the skin breath. Because I still have a few blemishes and redness from those spots in May, I'm using this Stila CC Color Correcting Cream* in Tone 03. It gets rid of the rednes,, but let the grain of skin show, which gives a natural finish, I really like it! It's lightweight, so you don't feel it on your face during the day. It's not full coverage though, so I put concealer on my 2-3 spot scars.

It has a green base, which neutralizes redness. As you can see from the pictures, it comes out of the tube green, but as you blend it in, becomes a skin colour.

I then use Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner* in Damsel in my waterline and as a cat flick. Damsel is a black with the tiniest amount of brown. I was under the impression it would be brown, as the packaging is, but when I first swatched it, I thought it was black. A look at the website confirmed that it is a brownish black.

Parisians like classic colours and what can be more classic than red lips? Stila Stay All Day Vinyl Lip Gloss* in Scarlet Vinyl is the perfect choice for a Paris pout. it is a true red gloss, but it does stay a long time! Last Sunday, it even endured a Tim Hortons breakfast, and  a few swipes of micellar water at the drugstore to test a lippy!

And there is the result!

Do you like the Parisian look?
